Lisa Wagner-Carollo is the Founder (1993) of Still Point Theatre Collective and currently serves as the theater’s artistic director. For over two decades, she has toured the country and overseas with the one-woman play Haunted by God: The Life of Dorothy Day. She has been a retreat leader for over twelve years and a spiritual director for eleven years. Her training was received from Siena Center in Racine, Wisconsin. Lisa began Still Point’s theater program for women who are incarcerated in 1998, and has facilitated circles with women in jails and prisons ever since. Recently, she published Above, Along, Inside, and Through, a book of poems, prayers, and reflections.
Barbara is a spiritual director, small group leader, and retreat facilitator. She recently was part of a leadership team for a two year Academy for Spiritual Formation program, an international ministry of the Upper Room.
Joan Alexander is a Spiritual Director & Supervisor who lives on Prince Edward Island, Canada, with her spouse, Elizabeth, and their little dog, Beau. Her professional training includes a two-year spiritual direction course at The Haden Institute (Canadian program at Mount Carmel, ON) and a supervision course with Lucy Abbott Tucker at the Mercy Center, CA. Joan has an active spiritual direction & supervision practice with clients in Canada, the US and the UK.
As an Administrator (Anglican Church of Canada) and a Project Manager (University of Guelph), Joan raised her two sons in southern Ontario, Canada. Following her marriage to Elizabeth (a recently retired Anglican priest), Joan took early retirement to pursue her calling to become a Spiritual Director. Together, they have lived and ministered across Canada while Joan continues to promote LGBTQ+ inclusion in the parishes and communities where she serves.
Dale Webb is a Spiritual Director and Supervisor engaged with people at home, across the country and around the world. Following completion of a 2-year Spiritual Direction Formation program, he began offering spiritual direction in individual and group settings. Dale is deeply drawn to contemplative spirituality and is nurtured especially in the quiet. Following a number of years of sustained centering prayer practice, he was trained and commissioned by Contemplative Outreach as a centering prayer presenter. He has a significant history of facilitating spiritual practice groups, now including online formats. Following completion of supervision training, Dale has begun offering supervisory support to spiritual directors as they reflect on their practice.
Prior to these endeavors, Dale had a significant career in ordained ministry, first serving congregations in California, Missouri, and New York and then serving hospital and hospice patients as a chaplain and spiritual care provider. Dale currently resides in Santa Rosa with his wife Sabina. He delights in reading, nature walks, silent retreats and long motorcycle rides on a beautiful day.
Sister Jean Evans
Jean Evans, RSM, D.Th.
Jean Evans, RSM is a Sister of Mercy in Burlingame, California where she coordinates Taizé Prayer Around the Cross (www.mercy-center.org) and is on staff at Mercy Center. Sr. Jean has taught high school in California and spent twenty-seven years in South Africa with Sisters of Mercy of Johannesburg in their ministries with marginalized African youth and adults. She completed a D.Th. in Christian Spirituality at the University of South Africa in 2002. Sr. Jean received an MA from the University of San Francisco in Applied Spirituality and trained at Loyola House, Guelph, Ontario, Canada for retreat and spiritual direction. She publishes articles on spirituality, faith and society.
Sister Bernadette Hart
Sister Bernadette is a skilled teacher, spiritual director, and group leader with experience in elementary schools, parish work, hospital chaplaincy, assisting elders, and vocation ministry. At Mercy Center Sister Bernadette sees people for spiritual direction, leads the Cancer Prayer Group, and assists with retreat events and programs.
